Mesothelioma cancer affects people who are at the age group of 50 to 70 years due to the long latency period of the disease. However, recent statistics have shown that the number of people affected by this disease also indicates the age group of 30 to 40. In addition, these statistics indicate that mesothelioma is likely to be found in people working in industries that predominantly include construction, railroad, shipyard, manufacturing and automobile industries with the majority being in the construction industry with about 1.3 million people being exposed to asbestos.
